Floating shelf in the bathroom . .. done! Worked on the 45 angle waterfall look. Not perfect yet, but getting better! Brackets in place. Some sanding. Some staining. Some styling. Tune up complete. . Weekend project. ✅✅ . The water closet in the master bath needed an upgrade. I was going to add some simple board and batten but thought …. “Nope”. It’s so small, I just gave it a coat of paint and added a floating shelf from a piece of scrap wood I had. Money spent on this update = $0. . NEW BUILD ALERT … raised planter for deck. . Did anyone catch my stories yesterday? I have this vision of being a master planter with a large crop of fresh strawberries, mint, and basil … and it all starts with this planter. . But seriously, this is a project I wanted to take on last year and didn’t do it. So I made it a mission for yesterday. After I had the materials, the entire thing only took about 1 1/2 hours to build. I still need to add the liner and fill with my crops (lol) but at least it’s now in position and ready! . All stories are still there and saved under New Builds up top. . So I just realized I posted several stories last week on updating my daughter’s bedroom and refreshing her dresser… Which have all since expired. 🤷‍♀️ . But …. I never showed the finished room or updated dresser. Here’s the dresser. She picked the color, and I love the way it looks. It turns out she has a good eye, because I think it looks great. All it needed was a good cleaning, sanding, couple of coats of paint, and a nice poly layer to protect it. I also replaced the pulls. . Swipe to see the before picture.
